Attire

Train

1. Take the Heathrow Express train to London Paddington Station.
2. Then Paddington to Chippenham (6.5 miles away) or Bath (about 10 miles).
3. Then a taxi to Castle Combe.

Shuttle Bus

There is a coach service operated by National Express that will take you directly from Heathrow Airport to Chippenham (or Bath) for just £17.50 per person (one-way). If you book a return, you will save more. If you are not comfortable driving, this is a great alternative.

Take a stroll around “the prettiest village in England”

Castle Combe and the surrounding countryside contain some fabulous walks. With rolling hills, mature woodland, the meandering River Byrbook and the chocolate box village there is plenty to keep keen walkers busy.

Bath

Known for its Roman-built baths, most buildings in Bath are made from the local Bath Stone, and many date back to the 18th and 19th century. There is plenty here to keep you busy all day – watch a Bath Rugby game, explore the Roman Baths, or check out Alexandra Park for a great view overlooking the town.
